TRANSITION ARRANGEMENT TO QUALIFY for International Welding Coordination Personnel (IWCP)
(IWE & IWT Diplomas of the International Institute of Welding more than complies with the requirement of ISO 14731-19
The Refresher course covering 20 topics as in the latest IAB Guideline covering different areas of welding, welding processes, materials & metallurgy, design and fabrication with 2+ hours of interactive sessions for each topic. The lectures are spread over 15 days and Q&A session are handled by the subject experts through ONILINE platform.
Candidates wishing to apply through the Transition Arrangements may opt for any of the IWCP qualifications, viz. IWE, IWT and IWS.
However, the candidature will be examined and adjudicated by the ANB Assessment Committee. For this the person’s qualification and experience requirements have to fulfil the IAB Transition Criteria at the cutoff date as on January 3, 2011. The decision of the Assessment Committee will be binding for admission to refresher course & to qualify through Transition Arrangement subject to successful in the examination conducted by ANB India.
The refresher course though meant for Transition route, is open to all welding professionals to improve their knowledge as student candidate.

The Application fee should be submitted along with the duly filled in application form.
The balance amount of fees (Table 2) should be paid once the Assessment Committee approves the candidature; this must be paid before the Start of course. The candidate may then attend the Refresher Course followed by the online MCQ test & Online Oral Interview. Successful candidates will be provided the IIW Diploma.

STANDARD ROUTE for (IWCP) International Welding Coordination Personnel – (IWE/IWT)
Candidates taking lessons following IAB Guideline 252 (Latest Applicable Edition) at ANB approved ATBs’ Cornerstone Academy, Chennai & FCRITWA, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, follows the Standard Route. The examination for Standard Route & Alternative Route is same.
Intending candidates are advised to contact the respective ATB for guidance.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE for (IWCP) International Welding Coordination Personnel – (IWE/IWT)
Note: ANB India will now accept new applications for Alternative Route following IAB-442 guidelines.
(IWE/IWT Diplomas of the International Institute of Welding complies with the requirements of ISO 14731)
The Alternative Route is a fast track IWE/IWT qualification process that does not involve fulltime study like the Standard Route at an Authorized Training Body (ATB). This option is available for candidates with four years of relevant experience in welding nd related areas holding a responsible position. However, the candidate must be aware that no structured lesson input is provided by ANB-India in any of the modules. Candidates have to submit a specified application that will go through a rigorous check as per IAB rules to get admission. Following admission, the candidate has to clear one or more stages before being allowed to appear for the final examination.

Alternative route Candidates may separately appear for written examination along with Standard Route Candidates at Chennai of any modules wit prior approval of ANB-India.
Interested Candidates must go through the IWCP brochure for eligibility and application process (How to Apply) for Alternative Route. Candidates are required to send duly filled in Applications Form no. ANB-INDIA-F-CAF-44N-442 (available under the IWCP Download) along with CV highlighting the Qualifications obtained (with dates), experience in industry with mention of work related to welding, fabrication & related activities. The names of the organizations and period of engagement, position held & type of job function must be provided in
chronological order. This must be accompanied with copies of all qualification, experience certificates and testimonials from the past and current employers, and the prescribed ‘Application Fees’ + GST as applicable. Incomplete documentation and submission may result in the rejection of the Application by ANB-India.
