2024-25 Calendar for Refresher Courses for Transition Route

• Course dates are scheduled for eligible candidates being duly registered before the mentioned last date of receipt of application to allow proper processing including final eligibility assessment.

The Transition Criteria Options mentioned for International Welding Coordination Personnel (IWE, IWT, IWS & IWP) are general requirements for candidates wishing to apply for award of Diploma through Transition Arrangements. However, conformance of the candidate’s total qualification and experience with the Transaction Criteria approved by the International Authorisation Board (IAB) and achieved by the candidate on or before 3rd January 2011 will be judged by the Assessment Committee for Transition Arrangements of for IWCP conducted by The Indian Institute of Welding-ANB, whose decision will be binding for award of Transaction Diploma.

Candidates may go through the Brochure for IWCP Transition Route to check Eligibility and study “IWCP Transition Route: How to Apply”. Candidates are required to send duly filled Applications Form No: 34 & Registration Form No:16A (Available under the IWCP Download) along with CV highlighting the Qualifications obtained (Mention the dates) with overall experience in industry and specifically with respect to welding fabrication & related activities in chronological order mentioning the names of the organisations and the period of engagement, responsibility etc. and accompanied with copies of all qualification and experience certificates and testimonials from past and current employers along with the prescribed ‘Application Fees’ +GST as applicable. These documents are essential for determining eligibility to qualify by Transition Route and incomplete documentation may result in the rejection of the Application by the Assessment Committee.

Balance amount of fees as per table above except the Certificate Issue Charges’ as per above table should be paid once approved by our Assessment Committee for meeting the Transition Criteria as per IIW-IAB approved Criteria for the particular level of qualification before the candidate attends the 5 day refresher course followed by the Objective test and interview on the 5th day. Successful candidates after payment of Certificate Issue Charges will be provided the recommended& eligible IIW Diploma. ANB-India also organises courses at customers’ premises when full infrastructure and other supports are provided at an agreed location to conduct the course for minimum 15 candidates.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE for (IWCP) International Welding Coordination Personnel – (IWE/IWT)

The Alternative route does not involve fulltime study at an ATB for about 450 hours of lesson as for Standard Route for IWCP (IWE & IWT). This option is available for candidates (Presently only for IWE & IWT) having minimum 4 years relevant experience in welding and related area with responsibility. However the candidate must be himself sure that he does not require any structured lesson input in any of the Modules (Refer to IAB Guideline –Short Version) Candidate has to submit a specified Application and go through a rigorous Application check, submit a Project Report for presentation. The candidate has to clear all these steps before being allowed to appear in the full examinations as above. Presently the option is available for IWE & IWT only.

Calendar for IWE/IWT Examination following for Alternative Route 2024-25

The dates of the Examinations are provisional and the candidates advised to check dates, timing and venue specifically with our ANB office by mail to our Executive Mr. T K Dutta at anb@iiwindia.com or contact him at Phone: +913340061837. Alternative route Candidates may also appear for written examination along with Standard Route Candidates of Cornerstone Academy at Chennai separately for each Modules 1, 2, 3 & 4 respectively in June, July, Aug & September 2019 with prior approval of ANB. However the Oral examination for all modules are conducted at the end of September 2019

Candidates may go through the Brochure for Standard & Alternative Route to check Eligibility and study “IWE/IWT Alternative Route: How to Apply”. Candidates are required to send duly filled Applications Form No: 44 & Registration Form No:16A (Available under the IWCP Download) along with CV highlighting the Qualifications obtained (Mention the dates) with overall experience in industry and specifically with respect to welding fabrication & related activities in chronological order mentioning the names of the organisations and the period of engagement, responsibility etc. and accompanied with copies of all qualification and experience certificates and testimonials from past and current employers along with the prescribed ‘Application Fees’ +GST as applicable. These documents are essential for determining eligibility to qualify by Transition Route and incomplete documentation may result in the rejection of the Application by the Assessment Committee.

Balance amount of fees apart from Application Fees as per table above to be paid in two stages as below and should be paid before he/she appears in the final written and oral examination conducted by ANB Examiners following same standard as Standard Route. Successful candidates will be provided the recommended & eligible IIW Diploma. Fees are payable by DD or cheque at par or by Bank Transfer to “The Indian Institute of Welding-ANB” at Kolkata as per the details (Bank, GST & PAN details)
