TRANSITION ROUTE for International Welding Coordination Personnel (IWCP)
IWE/ IWT/ IWS/ IWP
(International Institute of Welding Diploma and complies to the requirement as per ISO 14731-19)
The Transition Criteria Options mentioned for International Welding Coordination Personnel (IWE, IWT, IWS & IWP) are general requirements for candidates wishing to apply for award of Diploma through Transition Arrangements. However, the candidate’s total qualification and experience must meet the Access Condition & Transition Criteria approved by the International Authorisation Board (IAB) and achieved by the candidate on or before 3rd January 2011. This will be verified by an independent “Committee for Transition Arrangements” (IWCP) conducted by The Indian Institute of Welding-ANB, whose decision will be binding for eligibility to appear by Transition arrangement involving refresher course & examination.
All refresher courses are being conducted by ANB-India Online (20 Interactive sessions) and conforming to IAB rule. This gives the added advantage of utilising the service of expert faculties & Examiners from all over India. The candidates benefit by saving travelling cost. Since lectures are conducted online mostly in evening (weekdays) & Morning/Afternoon (weekends), a candidate can continue with their normal work schedule.

- Course dates are scheduled for eligible candidates being duly registered before the mentioned last date of receipt of application to allow proper processing including final eligibility assessment.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE International Welding Coordination Personnel (IWCP) – (IWE/IWT)
(International Institute of Welding Diploma and complies to the requirement as per ISO 14731-19)
The Alternative Route is aimed at individuals who may already have experience of the job function at a particular level without holding the appropriate qualification diploma. These individuals will have already gained full, or part knowledge of the syllabus defined there and can demonstrate their capability to proceed to examination either directly without compulsory attendance at an ANB approved training course or by attending only part of such a course (Refer to IAB Guideline –Short Version). This option is available for candidates with minimum 4 years relevant experience in welding fabrication & related areas. Presently the option is available for IWE & IWT only.

Candidates may go through the Brochure for Standard & Alternative Route to check Eligibility and study “IWE/IWT Alternative Route: How to Apply”. Candidates are required to send duly filled Applications Form along with other documents (Available under the IWCP Downloads). The CV should highlight Qualifications obtained with overall experience in industry, specifically with respect to welding fabrication & related activities in chronological order. The detail procedure will be advised during sending the application document (to be followed meticulously). Incomplete application documents may cause rejection.
